Topic: THE ANGRY CLIENT (4 Hours)
Description: All clients have anger issues and most clients have learned ineffective methods of addressing their anger. Identifying and treating underlying anger issues is essential for progress in therapy. This course addresses anger presentation in all phases of life; presents differences in anger presentation between genders; identifies the crucial link between anger and aggression; and, provides successful treatment methods that can be utilized for anger management. Course Objectives: 1. Identify the development and causes of anger in clients. 2. Understand gender differences in the experience and expression of anger. 3. Understand differences between state and trait anger. 4. Identify similarities and differences between anger and aggression. 5. Identify effective treatment modalities for anger management.
