Topic: JOURNALING (2 Hours)
Description: This course addresses all aspects of journaling and identifies client populations that will benefit from journaling. It identifies: disorders that lend themselves well to journaling; the keys to healing old wounds through writing; outlines for use when assigning journaling; rules of journaling; beginning statements and questions to get the clients to write; and, much more. This course will be beneficial to the therapist who wants to incorporate journaling into their practice as well as those who use it frequently. Course Objectives: 1. Identify clients who will benefit from journaling 2. Employ journaling techniques in the treatment of PTSD, grief, and eating disorders. 3. Identify journaling techniques to assist the clients in beginning to write.
