Topic: ANGER MANAGEMENT (4 Hours)
Description: This course presents a practical manual that can be used to assist clients in effectively managing their anger. This program has proven successful in clients with substance abuse, PTSD, mood disorder, anxiety disorders, and thought disorders. It is applicable to individual or group settings and can be used with males and females. This course, accompanied by the free participant manual (included in course) is a “must-have” tool for clinicians in all treatment settings. Course objectives: 1. Understand the importance of teaching anger management techniques to clients. 2. Understand events that trigger anger and cues to anger. 3. Learn ways to assist clients in developing an anger control plan. 4. Understand the aggression cycle. 5. Identify appropriate treatment strategies for use in anger management.
